ABOUT ME
I received a bachelor’s degree from California State University Sacramento in organizational communication. From there I went to Long Beach State and received a Master’s degree in recreation therapy a second Master’s degree in occupational therapy. I graduated Phi Theta Kappa in 2007 from California State University, Dominguez Hills in Occupational Therapy. For the past 12 years, I have worked in an outpatient hand therapy clinic associated with a large hospital in Sacramento California. I became a certified hand therapist (CHT) in 2012 requiring 4,000 hours or more in direct practice in hand therapy and have successfully passed a comprehensive test of advanced clinical skills and theory in upper quarter rehabilitation. I’ve traveled to several developing countries to provide therapy services for free for people without access to healthcare. Over the last several years, I have noticed a trend in people on able to afford their co-pays. I have developed a series of educational tools to help provide people with the same knowledge base that I would give them on their first one or two visits of therapy and even though I cannot perform hands on treatment, I believe that there is significant benefit in the education and knowledge of your condition. These avenues are a way to give to the people who simply cannot come in to therapy due to financial or time constraints. I believe that everybody has a right to take self-responsibility for healing their bodies the best way that they know how to. It all starts with education. The following is the same education I provide my patients to use to the improvement of the quality of life.
